can i use fixed resistor rather than i use variable resistor for lcd blue black light for the contrast?
Admin Reply :
Yes and No, the contrast differ from one LCD to another. If you have get the resistor value for a LCD, you can exchange it with a fix resistor. But you cannot apply a fix resistor for all LCD as you need to adjust it manually. If you have further inquiry, please do discuss in our technical forum as this section is for short inquiry, thanks :)

Do you have any LCD display (already soldered) where the user do not need to solder it manually?
Admin Reply :
FYI, we do not have LCD which is pre-soldered with pin header. Sorry for inconvenience.

I have bought this product and soldered it, but when i connect its Vdd and GND to UNO's 5V and GND, it does not like up like my Keypad Shield. Is it malfunction?
Admin Reply :
Nop :) Do you mean the backlight? The back light is control by different pin, is pin 15 and 16 :) BTW, you will also need to adjust the contrast of LCD to see the display. So it is not as easy as using shield :) I propose for you to check the tutorial links under the product page. if you have further inquiry, please do discuss in our technical forum as this section is for short inquiry, thanks ;)
